Description of Works:

A refurbishment of the old Cadbury’s chocolate factory in Keynsham, this prestigious development was awarded to Keyplan to carry out the design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of the mechanical services across the three main blocks, general description as follows:

Block A – 106 extra care apartments with communal facilities, including Virtual Reality room at ground floor level.

Block B – 30 extra care apartments on the upper floors with standalone lifts for access, 92 bed care home on levels 1 to 3 & ground floor communal facilities, including Leisure complex with a gym and pool, Cinema, Barbershop & Hairdressers, Restaurant, Bar & meeting rooms.

Block C – 6 floors of office space each fitted out to Category A standard with air conditioning, communal toilet core and fire escape routes.

"I worked with Keyplan in my previous employ with Andrew Wilson Partnership on many large scale projects, the most recent being The Chocolate Quarter at Fry's in Keynsham where we were acting for the client as the Trade Management Contractor and Keyplan were engaged for the mechanical services works, with a mechanical contract value in the order of approx.£ 7.2M.

I have always found Keyplan to be proactive during the design phase, their performance on site and site supervision has been exemplary, with a very high level of interaction and office support from their Project Managers.
